The said game off the NBA 2K franchise is confirmed for release this September 20th, and fans are expected to be in for a treat with an entirely new gaming experience. In a report by Nunzio Ingrassia for FOX Sports, the current game title will be adding more realism, including cheerleaders and mascots firing team t-shirts into the audience in the stands.

Crowd reactions were also tweaked for improvement, as well as the presence of Dunk Teams providing on the side entertainment during game timeouts. The game will also be featuring more physicality during the on-court battle for position between players.

But as far as player ratings go, some names experienced a dip, while others had improvements. Jerry Stephens of "Swarm and Sting" took a close look at some of the Charlotte Hornets players, particularly Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Kemba Walker and Nicolas Batum.

According to Stephens' report, Kidd-Gilchrist will likely see a dip in his ratings for NBA 2K17, given his injury-loaded 2015-2016 season. He was only able to play a total of seven games, but was averaging 12.7 points, along with 6.4 rebounds, through 29.3 minutes of playing time per game. Through the 70 games he played last season, he was averaging 14.9 points and 6.1 rebounds, through 35.0 minutes of playing time per game. Batum is predicted to have an 82 rating for NBA 2K17, jumping up from his 80 rating for NBA 2K16.

Point guard Kemba Walker is also seen to improve his rating for the upcoming title, being the top player of the Hornets last season. Through the 81 games he played, he was averaging 20.9 points, along with 4.4 rebounds, through 35.6 minutes of playng time per game. Stephens gave Walker an 85 rating for NBA 2K17, from his 84 rating for NBA 2K16.
